FLORIAN WOWRETZKO - EZEKIEL
FLORIAN WOWRETZKO - EZEKIEL SPRING/SUMMER 2016
Continuing the journey through religious inspirations Florian Wowretzko's Spring/Summer 2016 collection draws inspiration from "Book Of Ezekiel" the third of the Major Prophets in the Tanakh and one of the major prophetic books in the Old Testament, following Isaiah and Jeremiah.
Releasing the inner warrior, Florian uses the Inaugural vision from the book as God approaches Ezekiel as the divine warrior, riding in his battle chariot as the core focus. Wowretzko's signature structured silhouettes remain in textured fabrications depicting a type of battle armour, the collection finished in a palette of pure white, creating the illusion of purity within, is broken up with ecru, bleached off whites and blacks depicting the vision of achromatized skeletons and bare desert sands.
Strap details with buckled closures are almost utilitarian in styling with military lapels adorning the outerwear continuing to take the onlooker through Wowretzko's interpretation of the vision. Sheer fabrics evoke the fragile and vulnerable nature of the the warriors spirit in contrast to the heavy textured black pieces that contrive a somewhat solid armoured exterior. A bold and beautiful collection that encapsulates the distinct strength and composure of modern day masculinity.
