JESSE DRAXLER - CONCEPTUAL ARTIST
Striving to create interesting juxtapositions, both visually and conceptually, Draxler attempts to bend the viewers mind and create a two dimensional space with both depth and spacial impossibilities. Maintaing traditional working practices, computers never aid in the creation of his work, although some pieces of his work borrow from the techie computer art style, which is a juxtaposition in and of itself.
Draxler’s pieces are enigmatic explorations of existentialism. The artist tackles ideas of beauty, nihilism, sexuality, and absurdity through deconstructed images that incorporate found photos, abstract painting, and design, resulting in an abundance of dark, monochromatic, and visually challenging pieces.
In the words of the artist himself "A list of my art happenings n’ shit over the years can be found here.
