139DEC, a pilot project launched by Aleksandr Karamyshev and Marina Kononova combines two principles of aesthetic perception, merging a male and female view with a subtle approach to form. Smooth lines glide over the human form as the fabric twists into meaningful logic. Technical cuts and textile manipulation, alongside unpredictable methods forms a new hybrid silhouette. Experiments in dyeing, linen, cotton and silk accompanied by leather and viscose create a multitude of textures, blending into a monochromatic palette, providing an easy perception of rough and fine materials. Denim is processed with a special composition and subsequently heated to extreme temperatures, mimicking the look of steel plates in architectural forms.
